Gookie Dough Crumble

Your classic apple crumble has taken a daring twist. Forget your average crumble topping and switch things up a bit with Gookie Dough! That's right, we went there. Rather than mixing up a topping for a crumble together, simply add Gookie Dough and pop it straight in the oven to crisp up.

You will need:

A monster tub of Gookie Dough (preferably with no chocolate chips so enjoy picking them out and eating!)

Three Bramley apples which are peeled, cored and sliced to 1cm thick

Two tablespoons of golden caster sugar

Clotted cream/custard/double cream to serve

Firstly, preheat your oven to 170 degrees (gas mark five). Put your peeled, cored and sliced Bramley apples with two tablespoons of golden caster sugar into a round baking dish or a 20cm square dish. Flatten down with your hand.

Take your Gookie Dough and ensure it's straight from the fridge and rather hard as this will make it easier to work with. Take all the dough out of the tub and chop it in half. Take a grater and grate all of the Gookie Dough so it forms into a thin 'crumb like' topping. Scatter it on top of your apple base and ensure to cover generously (with any leftovers, feel free to make some additional cookies).

Pop in the oven and bake for around 10-12 minutes or until the filling is piping hot and the Gookie Dough has become a gorgeous, crunchy-chewy lid. Serve with ice cream or your favourite cream and dig right in. You can't beat a classic and this Gookie Dough twist is easy, convenient and divine.
